Virus / Spyware Removal
A common issue among home computer users is to let their security software subscriptions expire.  Allowing your security subscriptions to expire makes your PC vulnerable to the hundreds of new threats popping up on the Internet everyday.

Frequent popup ads, unwanted program icons, strange error messages, and slow or unstable internet access are common symtoms of a PC with a virus or spyware infection.  Our first line of defense against such a problem will be a non-destructive removal process where the threats are removed from the system files and registry.  However, viruses and spyware often cause irreversible and unpredictable damage to the Windows operating system, and therefore it is sometimes more practical to backup your data and reinstall a fresh, updated copy of the Windows system.

Wireless Network Access
We can install and configure a wireless router along side your existing broadband modem.  This allows laptop or desktop in your home to share the same high speed Internet throughout the house.  Installing a wireless router also allows us to configure a private network where home users can share a printer as well as data files between the connected PC's.

Desktop Data Backup
Nothing is worse for a home computer user than losing hundreds or thousands of digital photos, music files, or home business files, due to hardware failures.  One of two inexpensive technologies exist to prevent this scenario.

  • A portable external hard drive is purchased and installed with software that automates the backup process.  Your files get backed up each day without the hassle of burning CD or messing with floppy disks.

  • Customers with high speed Internet connections can utilize new technology referred to as online backup.  Companies such as Mozy, Carbonite, Dropbox and IDrive all provide automatic backups to secure online servers.  These services are subscription based.
