MARK QUINER, Owner 

Mark Quiner has 18 years of experience in the petrochemical industry. Starting his career as a newspaper reporter in Alaska, he transitioned to petrochemicals with a career in price reporting, first at ICIS, followed by working at the PetroChem Wire.

He has been the leading broker of ethylene and propylene both physically and financially in the US for over a decade. He has deep knowledge of the unique business problems facing petrochemical companies, and understands how to manage price risk in volatile and opaque markets.

Two years ago he expanded the business globally, focusing on connecting petrochemical markets between the US, Asia and Europe.

PHILIP CHOI, Owner 

Philip Choi is a petrochemicals executive with international experience in trading, brokering, and commercial leadership within the global energy and chemical sector. He is currently the Co-CEO of Q&C Solutions, where he is involved in setting strategic direction and overseeing the firm’s business activities.

Previously, Philip served as Director of Petrochemical at Marex until April 2025. Prior to that, he was Commercial General Manager at Lotte Chemical USA Corp., where he was responsible for commercial operations, feedstock procurement, and product sales within the company’s U.S. petrochemical business, and was involved in the establishment and early operations of the business.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and brings a disciplined financial perspective to senior management. Philip has lived and worked across multiple regions and is fluent in English and Korean.

John Quiner has over 11 years of experience in the petrochemical industry.

He specializes in physical and financial brokering of ethylene and propylene, bringing deep market knowledge, strong industry relationships, and a disciplined approach to brokering.

CHRIS HERRING
Q&C Solutions U.S. Inc.

Chris brings more than a decade of progressive leadership experience across technical, operational, and commercial functions in the energy and petrochemical sector. He began his career in the utility industry, where five years of client‑focused work established a strong foundation in customer relationship management and utility distribution operations.

He then spent 12 years with ExxonMobil, holding a series of engineering and supervisory roles at the Baton Rouge Chemical Plant. Leveraging this deep technical and operational expertise, Chris transitioned into commercial leadership in Houston, TX, ultimately overseeing the optimization and balance of ExxonMobil’s Gulf Coast cracker fleet for ethylene and propylene—an area central to the company’s broader petrochemical value chain.

In May 2025, Chris joined Q&C Solutions U.S. Inc. as a physical commodities broker, bringing his extensive cross‑functional experience and vast industry network to support the company’s continued growth and strategic initiatives. He continues to be based out of Houston, TX.
